Our Horsham (HQ) Office
Barrington James was founded in 2002, with our first office located in Horley before moving to our London Gatwick Global HQ in 2020 to support our rapid growth. Now, we are taking the next big step—relocating to a brand-new, state-of-the-art office in Horsham, doubling our space to accommodate our ever-expanding team. This move marks another significant milestone in our journey and reinforces our ethos of becoming the biggest and best life science recruitment company on the planet.
Home to over 100 people and growing daily, our Global HQ continues to lead our worldwide teams in performance, driven by the entrepreneurial and hardworking culture that has been at the heart of Barrington James for decades. Our Essex Office
Our Essex Office is home to our dedicated Artificial Intelligence and Quantum teams. The Chelmsford-based office, opened in April 2021, is led by Richard Stevenson, who has overseen its growth from 3 people to a headcount of over 15. This team is accelerating growth plans in line with the prominence of AI and quantum technologies within Life Sciences globally. With an incredibly supportive culture, the team is developing some of Barrington James’ most successful consultants in one of the most exciting fields—not only in Life Sciences but across all industries.

Our Birmingham Office
The Birmingham office, which opened in 2022 in the heart of the city, has experienced excellent growth and the development of bright, ambitious consultants. The team has built strong relationships and reached significant milestones over the past few years. With a culture that promotes collaboration and continuous learning, the Birmingham office has established itself as a medical device specialist, empowering consultants to become knowledgeable and successful experts in the field.

Our Westerham Office
Our Westerham office is home to our S3 Science subsidiary, acquired by Barrington James in 2024. S3, a leading life science business established in 2002, specializes in Early Drug Discovery and Preclinical Research. Working with a mix of academic and private organizations, they are the largest supplier of talent for preclinical drug trials.

What is our UKUS Division?
Join our UKUS division and work the vast American Life Science & Pharmaceutical market while being based in the UK. Collaborate closely with our NYC and North Carolina offices, driving success in one of the most lucrative global industries. Our UKUS division operates from our Gatwick, Essex, and Birmingham offices, offering a dynamic and high-performing environment. The team boasts multiple global top performers and consistently achieves the highest billing figures worldwide. With unique flexibility in working hours, you’ll have your mornings free before starting work at 12:00 and finishing at 21:00 (18:30 on Fridays). Barrington James prioritises face-to-face meetings, and this opportunity rewards consistent billers with client meetings and conferences in the States.

Over the past five years, I’ve moved from Resourcer to Team Sales Manager, thanks to incredible mentors at Barrington James. Their guidance has been invaluable, especially during times of growth and challenge. Breaking the record for the highest billed month and winning Sales Person of The Year was a huge accomplishment, marking the consistency and dedication I’ve built with my clients over time. I have been at Barrington James for the past 4 years, moving from Consultant to Team Sales Manager within my first 2 and a half years. I joined Barrington James as the only “externally hired” Manager nearly 2 years ago. I was immediately amazed by the work ethic, market knowledge and the ability of my peers.
